Your reservation
These terms apply to every reservation of Villa Botánica, Calle Bogor 4, 29190 Málaga (tourist licence VFT/MA/50914). The owners are Jeffrey Brugman and Jacquelien Kooter.
A request through our website, by email, phone or WhatsApp is free and without obligation. We confirm availability and send you a personal offer within 24 hours. Your reservation is final once we have received the deposit.
The lead guest must be 18 years or older, is responsible for the whole group and must carry a valid ID. The villa accommodates up to 15 guests, children included, and only registered guests may stay. Spanish law requires us to register every guest, so we will ask for the details of all guests before arrival.
Payment
The deposit of 50% of the total amount is due within 7 days of our confirmation. If it is not received in time, the reservation lapses; we will let you know by email or phone. The balance is paid by bank transfer no later than 4 weeks before arrival. For reservations made less than 4 weeks before arrival, the full amount is due at once.
The security deposit of €1,500 is paid together with the balance and refunded after departure if there is no damage or exceptional cleaning. The final cleaning (€500 per stay) and, where applicable, the 15th guest (€75 per night) are added to the rate.
Cancellation by the guest
Percentages are of the total amount of the stay. Please cancel directly with us by email or phone; refunds are transferred within two weeks. There is no refund for early departure. Deviations are possible only at the owners’ discretion, for example in case of calamities. We recommend taking out travel and cancellation insurance.
Cancellation by us
We can only cancel a reservation in case of force majeure, such as a natural disaster, extreme weather, fire, death of the owners or family, or hospitalisation. In that case we will offer you an alternative as soon as possible. If no alternative is possible or you do not accept it, you receive a full refund. Other costs resulting from the cancellation are not reimbursed.
Arrival and departure
Other times are possible in consultation. Please let us know your expected arrival time in advance.
During your stay
Our house rules apply to every stay. Pets are not allowed, and the villa is not a venue for parties or events. In case of serious violation of these terms or the house rules, or of inappropriate behaviour, the owners may end the stay with immediate effect and without refund.
Please report any damage or missing items to us; the costs will be charged or deducted from the security deposit. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, especially around the pool. The villa is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users.
We are not liable for loss, theft, accidents, personal injury or damage caused by personal negligence or by circumstances beyond our control, nor for interruptions of utilities such as electricity, water or wifi.
Official complaint forms of the Junta de Andalucía (Hojas de Quejas y Reclamaciones) are available in the villa. Spanish law applies to these terms.
